SRI JAGADGURU VEDHAPARAYANA COMMITTEE


To continue the Veda Rakshanam Bhramashri S. Ramakrishna Ganapadigal established the committee in the year 1982. Its intention is Veda Rakshanam. The committee was registered as Trust by name "SRI JAGADGURU TRUST" in the year 1988 at No.1, Poojamadam, 7th street Extension, Gandhipuram, Coimbatore - 641 012, Tamilnadu, South India by S. Ramakrishna Ganapadigal and Sri V. Narayanan. S.Ramakrishna Ganapadigal, who was a disciple at Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Sankaracharya Mutt for more than 15 years, came over to Coimbatore after he was blessed and advised by Sri Kanchi Mahaswamigal to start a Veda Rakshanam Committee at Coimbatore.


With the heartful blessings and wishes of Sri Maha Swamigal of Kanchi Mutt, he started Sri Jagadguru Maha Jayanthi vizha committee in 1980 and commenced doing Veda Rakshanam since 1982 by conducting Veda Parayanams and teaching Veda and Slogas to the young and old.


Now the Veda Parayanam is performed every year on the Jayanthi (Birthday) of Sri Maha Swamigal Sri. Chandrashekarendra Saraswathi Swamigal. The Trust undertakes the Veda Rakshanam work in a dedicated manner. A lot of Ganapadigals (Sanskrit Pandits) in and around Coimbatore assembled at a selected place in the town and do Veda Parayanam.
